Southern Tier, N.Y. (WENY)-- Martin Luther King Jr. Day is just around the corner, and the Food Bank of the Southern Tier is continuing its tradition of using the day of remembrance as a day of service.
The organization is inviting community members to spend Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 21st, learning about hunger insecurity in the Southern Tier and repacking food for people in need. There are four different volunteer sessions you can sign up for. Those times include 8:00am-10:00am, 10:00am-12:00pm, 1:00pm-3:00pm, and 3:00pm-5:00pm. The volunteer shifts also include Hunger 101 sessions and a tour of the Food Bank's facility.
The Food Bank of the Southern Tier uses the day to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy. If you would like to sign up to volunteer, click here: https://www.foodbankst.org/mlkdayofservice.
