Elmira man accused of seriously injuring inmate

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- An Elmira man will be spending more time behind bars after he was accused of seriously injuring another inmate. 

The Chemung County Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old David Doyle  was charged with felony assault. The Sheriff's Office says back on December 8th, Doyle was involved in a physical altercation, causing serious injury, while he was jailed on an unrelated charge.

Doyle was arraigned and sent to the Chemung County Jail on $15,000 bail.
