Back on January 17th, Police say Caraballo refused to stop for New York State Police, Yates County Sheriff's Office, and Schuyler County Sheriff's office as they attempted to pull him over. Watkins Glen Police set up a road block, but they say Caraballo swerved onto the sidewalk to avoid hitting them, then swerved back onto the road and into a car that was pulled over for the emergency lights.

Caraballo was taken to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, P.A. for his injuries. He was then arrested in Sayre on a separate Superior Court Warrant and was extradited back to New York to face the pursuit charges. Caraballo was arraigned and sent to the Schuyler County Jail.
