The event is being held at the Corning Museum of Glass and starts at 6 p.m. Roughly 300 guests are expected to attend this years event. Guthrie has been hosting the ball for 18 years to help raise money for various projects specifically for Guthrie's Cancer Treatment Center. "The event starts around 6 o'clock and it will run until about midnight with the last dance. We have a great band who will be there again this year. The program starts with a few remarks from our board chairman, a couple of physicians will give remarks as well, about the advancements we made about the cancer treatment services. I will also recognize staff members, and then there is some entertainment as part of the program," said Garrett Hoover, President and Chief Operating Officer at Guthrie Corning Hospital.
Hoover added, "It continues to advance the level of expertise, technology, education, outreach with our cancer center. I believe we are on par or better than many larger academic centers across the state."
This year's theme is "A Night in Paris."
