Canton football fell just short of making the PIAA Class A State Championship as the Warriors dropped a 28-21 contest to Steelton-Highspire in Friday's Semifinals. Canton finishes another memorable season 12-2 overall.
Watkins Glen Boy's Basketball drops season opener in overtime
Watkins Glen lost to Dryden 66-62 in overtime on Friday night. It was the first game of the season for both the Senecas and the Lions. Jacob Yontz finished with a double-double for Watkins Glen, scoring 29 points with 13 rebounds. Joseph Sutterby had 12 points and eight rebounds.
Edsion boys basketball falls to Southern Cayuga in season opener
The Edison boys basketball team tipped off the regular season on Tuesday as the Spartans fell to Southern Cayuga, 79-34. George Smith led the way for the Spartans with 11 points. Edison is back in action on Friday at the Lansing Tip-Off Tournament.

North Penn-Liberty Volleyball's incredible season continues as the Mounties captured their 4th straight District IV Title last night, topping Wellsboro in 4 sets. North Penn-Liberty remains undefeated with the win as they finished the regular season 18-0, and they had not lost a single set until last night when they lost the second set. The Mounties will head to States as they play in the first round Tuesday night at Athens High School.
North Penn-Mansfield Upsets Wellsboro to Advance to District IV Semis
The North Penn-Mansfield Panthers shocked the District Saturday night as they upset Wellsboro in the District IV AA Quarterfinals, 17-14. The Panthers were 4-6 going into this game while Wellsboro was 9-1. NPM will now face an even tougher test as they will clash with Southern Columbia, who is the top-ranked team in the state in AA, in the Semi-Finals next week.
