UPDATE: CCC Student Dies After Suspected Overdose
12:30PM UPDATE: We're learning more about the incident that led to the death of a Corning Community College student.
New York State Police tell WENY News, troopers responded to the campus overnight for a report of two unconscious people. Troopers administered naloxone to a 21-year-old woman. They say she regained consciousness.
EMS administered naloxone to a 26-year-old man. They also performed CPR. State Police say he was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
11:50pm UPDATE: According to a letter sent to CCC staff obtained by WENY NEWS, a second student is in critical condition as a result of this incident.
CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) -- Painted Post State Police are investigating the death of a Corning Community College student.
According to CCC, the incident happened Wednesday night. The college has not provided any details into what resulted in the student's death.
CCC says they will be providing on-site support for students, faculty, and staff.
