WENY-TV, the ABC CBS +CW affiliate TV stations have an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive to join our dynamic and forward-thinking sales team. The ideal candidate will showcase his or her entrepreneurial and strategic expertise by building collaborative relationships and providing results driven customer solutions through an integrated suite of media platforms- including television, internet, mobile and additional emerging products.
This position requires an energetic and strategic entrepreneur. As an Account Executive, you'll use a consultative selling approach to build relationships with businesses to sell a broad set of solutions from our extensive market-leading portfolio:
- ABC,CBS + CW network affiliates
- Targeted Display Advertising (Banner Advertising)
- Web Presence Optimization, including services for Organic Search (SEO)
- Marketing and Reputation Management
- Email marketing
Roles and Responsibilities
- This position will be accountable for local television and digital revenue performance; working both strategically and tactically with other sales executives in the station and division.
- Prospect for qualified local and regional businesses
- Meet with prospective clients to conduct thorough customer needs analysis (C N A)
- Build out solution based programs specifically designed to solve client needs/challenges
- Present and close tailored marketing programs
- Create new relationships
- Accurately project revenues & meet / exceed monthly budgets
- Follow accountabilities set forth by your Sales Manager to help guide you to success achieving monthly sales quotas consistently
- Provide insight and value to executive management to shape the future of our organization
- This individual is responsible for driving new television and digital sales (by assessing and facilitating the use of best practices in solutions based selling), up-sell of existing account advertisers, while driving retention.
- This individual will be responsible for order entry and maintenance of advertising schedules.
- Minimum 3 years experience selling television/digital preferred.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in marketing or advertising.
- Sales experience in television, digital or media industry preferred.
- Excellent communicator who can communicate and sell ideas and solutions.
- Must have strong time management and organizational skills; candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, high-pressured, evolving environment.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills required.
- Be able to utilize Wide Orbit Traffic + Wide Orbit Media Sales or be willing to learn
- Professional appearance is a must
- Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and your own vehicle
