ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- There was plenty of seasonal excitement in the air at the Elmira High School Holiday Craft Fair. The annual craft fair saw dozens of vendors in attendance with hundreds of people visiting throughout the day. The variety of creations was endless from handmade snowmen to lamps made out of recycled bottles. However, the event isn't just about the vendors. It's also about what the proceeds at the door and donations mean to the graduating class of Elmira High School.

During the afternoon, Elmira H.S. Assistant Principal Joy Casciotti told me, "It has been an amazing fundraiser for Project Graduation, which is held after graduation in June, for our current graduates. It is an overnight event where students get to have fun and hangout with their classmates for one last hurrah, before they move on to their real lives."

The event has been going on for several years, but this marks the 3rd consecutive year that it has helped benefit the school's graduating class.
