A Mixed Bag of Precipitation Expected Today

As low pressure continues to press northeast, wet weather is expected throughout our Wednesday. Some spots may be slippery due to the potential for ice accumulations early on today of a tenth of an inch.
Through most of the day temperatures will be climbing towards the upper 30s and lower 40s, this will be changing the type of precipitation locally. We will start off with freezing rain, sleet and snow this morning as temperatures sit in the mid to upper 20s. As temperatures head towards the low to mid 30s this afternoon rain and snow will continue to mix. By late day highs should be near 40, switching all precipitation over to rain.
Overnight temperatures will lag, remaining warm for a portion of our evening. That will keep precipitation as rain for a while, but as a cold front swings through temperatures will be drastically dropping. This will change remaining rain over to wet snow.
