Computer Technology & Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a qualified Computer Technology & Maintenance Technician who is able to communicate effectively with a diverse team of people. You must be well versed in computer systems and network TCP/IP functionality. Candidates should have adequate knowledge of basic engineering technology skills and basic maintenance experience including proper and safe use of hand and power tools. Any experience troubleshooting lights, cameras, and field gear for the television broadcast industry is a plus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain employee workstation computers and equipment; troubleshoot hardware and software issues as well as IP related problems. This can include, but not limited to, email issues, internet connectivity, general employee accessible WiFi routers and access points, user credentials, passwords etc.
  • Set up and assist in configuration of new hardware and servers, as well as installing software and drivers.
  • Perform regular updates and maintenance routines on equipment to ensure systems remain updated and functional at all times.
  • Inspect, maintain and repair studio lighting and peripherals such as audio cables.
  • Other duties as assigned such as, but not limited to, removing snow from satellite dishes, operating power generator, hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner.

Requirements:

  • Adequate knowledge of computer logic, computer hardware, networking, internet security, and data privacy principles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Strong teamwork & team building skills with the ability to prioritize and complete delegated tasks while unsupervised.
  • Working a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and possible holidays.
  • On call 24/7 to support Engineering in emergency situations.
  • Technical degree in Digital Electronics, Broadcasting, Information Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
