More Road Work Set to Start in Chemung County
CHEMUNG Co., NY (WENY) -- There's more road work starting this week that could slow you down as you head out the door.
Thursday and Friday crews in the City of Elmira will be working on a road reconstruction project.
They'll be milling West Second Street from Guinnip Avenue to Walnut Street.
The work is slated to begin at 7:00 a.m. and should wrap up by 7:00 p.m. both days.
During this time the road will be closed to all traffic.
In the Town of Southport, the DOT will start bridge repairs on State Route 328 over Dry Run Creek.
This project also begins Thursday morning and will last for about a week.
While crews are on the job, drivers should expect some delays as traffic will be reduced to one lane in the southbound direction.
