ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) – Elmira Police are investigating two reported robberies that happened within several minutes of each other. 

According to police, a victim called 911 around 11:30 Tuesday morning, saying he had been knocked to the ground by three people and had property taken from him.

Officers say the the three suspects are described as:

  • A white male wearing shorts and no shirt
  • A black male wearing black shorts and a black shirt
  • A black male wearing red shorts and a black shirt

They were reportedly last seen running north along Oak Street through backyards.

While responding to the incident, police say officers located a second victim in the Burger King parking lot on Lake Street. That victim reportedly told officers they had been robbed by three suspects who looked similar to the descriptions given at the Harper Street incident.

Police say neither victim was injured, no weapons were displayed or threatened and both victims are cooperating with the investigation.
