Multi-agency enforcement campaign results in more than three-dozen tickets
SIDNEY, N.Y. (WENY) -- The New York State Police is joining forces with several other police agencies, trying to get impaired and unlicensed drivers and drugs off the roadways.
In their most recent multi-agency enforcement campaign, 29 officers from across the state were involved in a five-hour traffic saturation detail. Among those officers were two drug recognition experts, two K9 handlers, one Homeland Security Agent, and New York State Park Rangers.
A total of 38 traffic summons were issued. A total of five Penal Law arrests, four Driving While Intoxicated or Impaired by Drugs, and two Leandra's Law arrests were made.
