(WENY) -- The CDC is reporting this year's measles outbreak is now affecting 30 states, with more than 1,180 individual cases confirmed. This is the greatest number of cases reported in the U.S. since 1992 and since measles was declared eliminated in 2000.

Due to the outbreak, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a measure into law on June 13th, 2019 removing non-medical exemptions from school vaccination requirements.

In this week's edition of Counsel's Corner, Ziff Law Firm Attorney Adam Gee sits down with WENY's Isabel Garcia to discuss the new religious exemption ban, which requires children in daycare centers through school years to receive vaccinations.
