SAYRE, Pa. (WENY) -- Guthrie Health is calling on all Registered Nurses to tour their new state-of-the-art facilities. The tour will take RN's through the new patient-focused spaces in the emergency, ICU and cardiology units at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital. The tour will be taking place Wednesday night from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the hospital.

The team is looking to expand their nursing staff, and to provide the best clinical care for their patients.

"We are inviting all nurses to come and see us. We're going to tour them around, and we're going to have human resources here if anyone is truly interested, they can apply on the spot. They could even have a job by the time they leave. We're excited about it and to show off our new digs," says Carol Winckler, Director of Heart and Vascular Center.

The clinic is offering a $15,000 hiring bonus, and was recently recognized by CNBC as one of the top companies in the United States offering hiring bonuses. However, officials tell WENY news that the perks of being a registered nurse for the hospital are much more than just the monetary bonus.

"We offer all of our nurses wonderful opportunities to provide progressive clinical care to our patients. To have wonderful opportunity for career progression and grow as a clinician and professional, but also to really also have a voice as a professional nurse," says Cori Belles, Vice President of Guthrie Talent Management.

A recently hired RN says Guthrie is an extremely unique hospital to work for.

"It feels more like a family atmosphere here. Even our directors and upper management care more about our well-being, if we're doing okay and if we're happy. I think they actually care for us to be happy and want us to still work here and stay here, which is way more noticeable here than any of the other hospitals. This is my third hospital I've worked at, and it's by far my best experience so far," says Jonathan Lutcher, Guthire Registered Nurse.

If you pre-register for the tour, there will be exclusive door prizes and raffles for those nurses.
