BATH, N.Y. (WENY) - The Steuben County Fair has returned for its 200th year!

From roller coasters to carnival games to funnel cakes! There is so much to see, eat and do at the Steuben County Fair. The annual fair kicked off on Tuesday and is proud to be celebrating a major milestone this year.

"This year marks our 200th year of continuous operation here at the Steuben County Fair, so its really a special thing for us. So with that, we're running several $2.00 specials. Today was $2.00 admission day happening all day long, with $2.00 ride specials and $2.00 food specials," Nick Pelham, the Secretary Manager of the Steuben County Fairgrounds.

This year's event has all of your favorite fair foods, from deep fried Oreos to Philly-cheese steaks and even root beer floats.

"It's a great old county fair. There is something for everybody with the live stock exhibits, our competitive exhibits and everything to go look through. The carnival rides, the food, the whole experience, it's just a great thing to come down and see," says Pelham.

Officials say the Steuben County Fair is the oldest continually running fair in the entire country.

The Steuben County Fair ends on Sunday with a demolition derby. Children 12 and under can get in for free and parking is also free.
