Bradford County man sentenced for fatal crash involving pregnant woman
TROY, Pa. (WENY) -- A Troy man has been sentenced for felony DUI after an investigation into a February crash in Sylvania Borough involving a pregnant woman.
According to the Bradford County District Attorney's Office, 26-year-old Samuel Lee Corey was sentenced to 21 months to 7 years behind bars, fines of $2,500 along with court costs.
Corey will also lose his driver's license for 18 months, an additional five year license suspension will be imposed for the DUI, a felony in the third degree
The sentence was made consecutive to a Homicide by DUI sentence imposed on another case for a total of 8¾ to 25 years.
Pennsylvania State Police arrested Corey following investigation of a fatal crash that occurred in Sylvania Borough on February 4, 2019.
As WENY News reported, the crash killed Ceaira Kirkner, who was pregnant.
