Ithaca, N.Y. (WENY) - Today was the third and final day of the 9th annual peace festival outside St. Catherine of Siena Church in Ithaca.

The 3-day festival celebrates cultural diversity and inclusiveness. One of the event organizers, Frank Fetsko, says the multicultural background and diversity if very important. Fetsko says "we try to make this non-denominational." He goes onto say groups and people of different backgrounds volunteered the last three days to help with games and activities.

The festivals mission is to promote peace and create relationships with the community. Fetsko talked about the diverse community in Ithaca and how their goal is to bring people of different cultural backgrounds together to have fun and share memorable times together.

There are several ways money is raised. The organization asks for a $15 donation. There is an entry fee of $10 on Sunday. Games, activities, raffles and auctions are other ways money is raised.

All of the proceeds from this weekends festival with go to different organizations. Fetsko says some of the organizations money has been previously donated to are Rotary International, catholic charities, Feed My Starving Children, and more.
