(WENY) -- Health officials throughout North America are recalling various diced chicken products amidst Listeria outbreaks.

Many of the recalled products are from Canada, but have been traced to outbreaks in the U.S.

The recall includes a wide variety of products distributed by the following brands:

  • Reuven International Ltd.
  • Tip Top Poultry, Inc.
  • Sysco Co.
  • Flamingo
  • Rosemount Sales & Marketing
  • Rosemount
  • Centennial Foodservice
  • AlimPlus Inc.

For the most part, the products are frozen, ready-to-eat, and either diced or shredded.

Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled, but can still cause serious and sometimes life-threatening infections.

Anyone who has eaten any of the recalled products and developed symptoms of Listeria infection should seek medical treatment and tell their doctors about their possible Listeria exposure.
