Court puts New York’s flavor ban on hold
NEW YORK, N.Y. (WENY) – A court document to put a hold on the e-cigarette flavor ban in New York state was recently ordered.
An order was issued Thursday to temporarily block the state from enforcing its new ban. This order will allow the court some time to consider a lawsuit from the vaping industry to block the ban.
This move comes one day before the state of New York planned to begin enforcing the 90-day ban of the sale of most flavors.
Supporters of the ban are concerned about younger people becoming addicted to nicotine products. However, critics argue the ban is a governmental outreach.
President Trump has already proposed a federal ban.
