ALBANY, N.Y. (WENY) -- Today is the last day to register to vote in the November General Election for New Yorkers.

Applications for mail-in registration must be postmarked by today and received by a board of elections no later than October 16, 2019.

New Yorkers may register at their local board of elections or any state agency participating in the National Voter Registration Act, on any business day throughout the year but, to be eligible to vote in the General Election, your application must be received by today. If honorably discharged from the U.S. Military or a naturalized U.S. Citizen after October 12, 2019, residents may register in person at the Board of Elections up until October 26, 2019.
