Cold air has rolled into the region over the past couple of days and it is here to stay. Regardless if the Twin Tiers sees snowfall later this week, the cold air will continue to stick with us and even colder air will be moving in. A piece of the infamous "Polar Vortex" will swing down into the region next weekend and create even colder temperatures as highs will struggle to get out of the low 30s for highs. Looking past next weekend, temperatures look to remain below average across the region as well and the Climate prediction Center's outlook for November is below average temperatures for the month. Makes sure you bring out the winter gear just a bit early and cooler air is on the way.
