CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) - The 5th annual Hops and Grapes event was held Tuesday night at the Corning Museum of Glass. 

The event was hosted by Corning Incorporated and LaBella Associates, and its all for a great cause. All proceeds benefit the United Way of the Southern Tier. The event offered tastings of local craft beers, Finger Lakes wines and many more. Some of this year's participants include, Finger Lakes Distilling, Fox Run Vineyards, Pleasant Valley Wine Company and several others. The event also had a live band and refreshments. 

"I think it's a good time to remember other people at this time of year and the United Way of the Southern Tier focuses on helping people in our community in need. This is just a nice way to remember people and also be friendly with your fellowman," says Lois Wilson, Spokeswoman for the United Way of the Southern Tier. 

For those who attended Hops and Grapes received a tasting glass which was included with their ticket.
