(WENY) -- Kmart and Sears have announced dates for their 96 store closures, which will affect two locations throughout the Twin Tiers.

The closings were announced in August and later expanded, as Transformco purchased all the assets of Sears Holdings Corporation this past February.

The Kmart in Bath, N.Y. and the Kmart in Towanda, Pa. are among the stores on the chopping block.

Transformco says going out of business sales are expected to begin December 2.

The company will operate 182 stores nationwide following the closures, which will be complete by February 2020.
