ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) - 10 inductees make up the 2019 Chemung County Sports Hall of Fame Class. They will be inducted during the Josh Palmer Holiday Basketball Tournament on December 27th, 2019 at 7:30 PM. The inductees are listed below:

Amanda Hubbard - Hubbard played volleyball at Horseheads High School from 2000 to 2004. She was named First Team All-State twice (2002-2003), and Second Team All-State once (2001). The Blue Raiders won the state title in 2001. 

Jim Bassage - Bassage played football, wrestling, and baseball for three years at Edison High School. He was named to the All City Team for Football in 1967 and 1968. He graduated in 1969.

Michael Ficarro - Ficarro played 3 years of baseball and football, and 2 years of basketball at Southside High School. He won the 2007 Ernie Davis Award for the best high school football player in Chemung County. He graduated in 2008.

Bill Huddle - Huddle was an All-City basketball for Elmira Notre Dame in 1965 and 1966. He scored 342 points during the 1965-1966 season, 9 shy of the school record at the time. He graduated in 1966. 

Mike Maloney - Maloney played football, basketball, and baseball at Elmira Notre Dame. He was a captain for all three sports. He was named All-Twin Tiers in football in his senior year. 

Margie McKinery - McKinery graduated Elmira Notre Dame in 2007, where she played soccer, basketball, and softball. She was named Second Team All-State in soccer, making First Team All-IAC three times. 

Emilie Rogers Couse - Couse graduated Elmira Free Academy in 2010, where she played 4 years of softball as a pitcher. She was named First Team Section IV, First Team All-State, and First Team All-Region in her senior season. 

Luke Whitteker - Whitteker graduated from Elmira Notre Dame in 2002, playing 4 years of football and baseball. He was named First Team All-Twin Tiers in 2002 in football. He was named All-IAC in baseball in both his junior and senior seasons. 

Patti Perone - Perone was the Head Volleyball Coach at Horseheads High School from 1987-2018. She tallied 28 winning seasons, 17 final four appearances, and a state championship. Her total record as a high school coach was 623-121. 

Jack Dunlavey - Dunlavey worked at Corning High School, and was a strong supporter of their sports programs. He was a member of the Chemung County Hall of Fame, and served as Treasurer for over 15 years.
