17-year-old in custody after two bodies found in Allegany County fire
UPDATE (4:45 p.m.) According to WKBW, New York State Police said they have Larson in custody. It's currently unknown what charges he could be facing.
CLARKSVILLE, NY (WENY) – New York State Police are searching for a suspect they believe is armed and dangerous after two bodies were discovered following a house fire in Allegany County.
According to WKBW, the Clarksville Volunteer Fire Company responded to a house on Courtney Hollow Road around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night for reports of a fire. Crews say they found smoke coming from the home.
Once they were able to get inside the home, they say they found two bodies and called in State Police.
Troopers have not yet identified the victims, but they've identified the suspect as 17-year-old William J. Larson Jr.
They say Larson is 5'9”, and has brown hair and blue eyes.
Troopers say if Larson is seen, do not approach him; instead, call 911.
Due to the investigation, multiple school districts in Allegany County, such as Portville, Cuba-Rushford and Bolivar-Richburg have closed for the day Thursday.
Additionally, residents are being urged to stay in their homes unless they have to leave and not answer the door for anyone.
