(WENY) – American Airline customers will be given travel waivers ahead of a big winter storm that is expected to hit parts of the country this weekend. Millions of travelers are expected to be traveling after the Thanksgiving holiday.

Rain and snow is expected to move to the east coast on Sunday into Monday, according to the National Weather Service. With this being said, customers traveling these two days on flights to and from New York and other cities will receive travel vouchers.

According to Airlines for America, Sunday is expected to be the busiest travel day for airlines. More than 3 million travelers are expected that day.

American Airlines is encouraging passengers to check the airlines website for a list of airports and flights affected.
