ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) – An Elmira man was arrested on drug charges after police say they recovered large amounts of drugs and a shotgun from a home in the city.

According to Elmira Police, 38-year-old Willie Singleton was arrested on a Superior Court Warrant for two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Officers say on December 15, they executed a search warrant at a home on Lincoln Street. There, they reportedly found approximately 300 grams of cocaine, narcotics paraphernalia, marijuana a 12 gauge shotgun with ammunition and cash.

The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Elmira Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit and the New York State Police Violent Gang Narcotics Enforcement Team involving the sale of crack cocaine in Elmira.

Police say further charges are pending.
