(WENY) – With coronavirus cases increasing everyday and we have not even seen the peak yet, states are in desperate need for help.

With this being said, experts and health officials who are trying to plan a response on the outbreak are missing a critical piece of information they need to know. That is the number of health care workers who have tested positive for the disease.

Washington state faced the first major outbreak of COVID-19 in the nation. Since then, New York became the epicenter in the county.

Health officials have not kept track of how many doctors and nurses have the disease. Experts are saying they want the data to better determine how severely hospitals will be hit.
