Elmira man pleads guilty to meth trafficking, faces minimum of 10-years

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- An Elmira man is facing a minimum sentence of 10-years, possibly up to life, and a fine of up to $10,000,000.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for Western New York, Kevin E. McKinney, a.k.a. K-Born, pleaded guilty to conspiring to possess with intent to distribute, and distributing, 50 grams of methamphetamines.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says a federal search warrant was executed at 916 Grand Central Avenue in Elmira on September 13th, 2019. Officers recovered more than 1.1 kilograms of 95% pure methamphetamine, some heroin, and related paraphernalia. Officials say McKinney was arrested along with Jamal Anderson and Briana Hall.
Federal officials say McKinney obtained the narcotics from New Jersey, and transported it to Elmira to be packaged and sold.
McKinney is scheduled to be sentenced on September 14th, 2020.
