SOUTHPORT, N.Y. (WENY) – The Chemung County Sheriff's Office has arrested the two men who allegedly hosted an illegal MMA fight in Southport. 

As WENY News reported, on Saturday, August 15, police responded to a home on Plymouth Avenue after reports of shots fired. The investigation revealed that an illegally-hosted MMA fight drew in a crowd of about 150 people. During the fight, a small group were involved in an altercation that led to shots being fired by someone in the crowd.

No one was injured as a result of that shooting.

42-year-old Jesse Keller of Southport and 32-year-old Corey Keller of Elmira were both charged with second-degree Criminal Nuisance for “knowingly advancing a criminal combative sport without proper licensing”.
