(WENY) - The deadline to renew car registrations in the empire state has passed. Those who do not have an up-to-date registration can get a ticket.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo first paused the expiration dates in March due to the coronavirus pandemic. The deadline was extended multiple times during the coronavirus pandemic. However, the final deadline passed on Tuesday, November 3rd. Expired registrations and non-driver identification cards can be renewed entirely online.
