WENY News, the ABC and CBS affiliate in Horseheads, NY has an opening for a news producer. The right candidate should have have solid news judgment and writing skills, handle pressure and last-minute changes, strong communication and organization skills. 

We are looking for the right person to join our award-winning news team and continue to grow our newscasts. As a member of our team, you'll gain experience in many aspects of news coverage, from producing a dynamic local newscast, coordinating live coverage, breaking news, and weather coverage. You'll work with our show's anchor(s) to craft a newscast that's dedicated to local news and stories of importance to the community, and communicate with reporters in the field regarding their assignments. You'll also be responsible for disseminating content to our digital platforms, including website, app and social media channels.

Prior producing experience is preferred and ENPS knowledge is a bonus, but not required. 

WENYTV is located in the beautiful Southern Tier and Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. Just a few hours drive from many major cities (NYC, Buffalo, Syracuse, Toronto, Philadelphia), it's surrounded by nature full of natural waterfalls, hiking trails, wineries, and small but thriving communities.

Salary range: $32,000 - $37,000.
Valid drivers license required.
