We are expecting a mild weekend across the Twin Tiers, but unfortunately this will come with increased chances for showers as well. A stationary boundary will sit to our south over the next few days and this is set up due to the cool air to the north and the mild air over the Southeast. This boundary will set up an area of increased storminess for the Eastern US. On Friday, an area of low pressure will track from the south central US and through the Great Lakes by Saturday afternoon. We will likely start off with a few snow showers early Saturday, with temperatures below 32, before we quickly change over to rain showers as milder air moves in. No accumulation of snow is expected, and showers will likely be isolated to scattered throughout the day and not a complete washout. The milder air will allow temperatures Saturday to again flirt with 50 degrees, but we are not done with the shower threat.

The stationary boundary will move slightly north for Sunday, bringing it closer to the Twin Tiers and will pop up a few showers for Sunday afternoon. Just like Saturday a washout is not expected, but a few showers will likely pop up in the afternoon. With the stationary boundary situated a bit more north, we will likely see highs in the 40s again as milder air continues to pump into the Twin Tiers.
