Corning Pride holding several events for Pride Month, including car parade
CORNING, N.Y. – June is Pride Month, which celebrates, honors and spreads awareness for the LGBTQ+ community, and Corning Pride is holding several events, including a pride car parade.
The parade will take place on June 12; registration is required and participants will receive an email by June 4 with all the details.
Organizers say the event will start on West William Street, cross over onto Market Street and end on Bridge Street. Social distancing protocols must be followed, which means participants should not encourage loved ones to gather in groups outside to watch the parade.
The event is also not a traditional parade, meaning it is not a closed route and everyone must follow all traffic laws.
Decorating your car for the event is encouraged. More information, including a link to register, can be found by clicking here.
