ULSTER, PA (WENY) -- Bradford County residents are under a shelter in place order, and a Pennsylvania State Police helicopter is in the air assisting with a manhunt for a suspect in the Ulster area.

According to the public safety alert sent out just after 9:30PM, Bradford County residents are requested to shelter in place and lock their doors. Police are asking people to be on the lookout for Christopher Shulas. Shulas is a white male, who was last known to be wearing a black cut-off shirt, black shorts and white sneakers in the Oak Hill Rd area.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

Pennsylvania State Police report that their search for Shulas began this evening just after 7:00pm when officers responded to a domestic violence call on Oak Hill Rd in Ulster Township in which he was the attacker.

Troopers learned that the incident began when the victim, an 18 year old female, confronted Shulas for stealing her high school graduation money. Shulas then strangled the woman until she lost consciousness. He then fled the scene while in possession of two explosive devices.

A felony arrest warrant has been issued for Christopher Shulas' arrest. State police continue to search the area but have not found any results at this time.

Officers report the shelter in place is still in effect for Bradford County residents and encourage everyone to use caution and if they see anything suspicious to call 9-1-1.

Assisting in the domestic violence call and the search were Guthrie EMS, PSP Aviation, and multiple members of PSP Towanda.
