Once again, the Twin Tiers will see the risk of severe weather during the later portions of the afternoon and evening Wednesday.

While some in the Southern Tier saw some showers and storms earlier Wednesday morning, but we are expecting partly-to-mostly sunny skies as we head into the afternoon.

The threat of severe weather will begin during the mid-afternoon hours, with some storms beginning to pop-up. As we head towards the evening, that will be the best chance at seeing severe weather. The main threats will be gusty winds, heavy rain and some hail. The severe threat will end as we head into the overnight period, with partly cloudy skies, before a rainy day Thursday.
