New York Announces Funds for Outpatient Treatment Programs
ALBANY, N.Y. (WENY) - New York State will award nearly $3.5 million to develop outpatient treatment programs.
The programs will make it easier for New Yorkers seeking treatment for a substance use disorder.
"Ensuring access to necessary treatment for addiction is an important, ongoing goal of my administration," Governor Kathy Hochul said. "Addiction is a disease that can affect anyone, no matter their background. It is vital that we continue our work to support comprehensive programs that expand access to care and resources for New Yorkers and their families who need it most."
Providers can use the funding for a number of purposes including renovations, new equipment, and staff salaries.
Locally, $240,880 will be awarded to the Ithaca Alpha House.
