CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) - Arbor Housing and Development in Corning is set to receive a grant of $257,000.

Congressman Nick Langworthy's office made the announcement Thursday.

"I was proud to support and deliver grant awards from NeighborWorks America to the critical housing organizations in my district, Arbor Housing and Development and Chautauqua Home Rehabilitation and Improvement Corporation," said Congressman Langworthy. "Affordable housing remains a huge hurdle for many that live in Western New York and the Southern Tier. I am excited to see these communities get the funding necessary to get some relief for those who are experiencing housing uncertainty."

Arbor Housing and Development is a non-profit organization, committed to creating housing options to renters and home buyers primarily in the Southern Tier of New York and North Central Pennsylvania.

The organization offers residential behavioral health and domestic violence services that help people overcome housing challenges.
