HAMMONDSPORT, N.Y. (WENY) -- May 25 officially marks National Wine Day, and Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery is celebrating the unofficial start of summer with its reopening of Eugenia's Garden.

Named after the wife of founder Dr. Konstantin Frank, Eugenia's Garden is a reimagining and recreation of the garden Eugenia Frank began growing decades ago. Overlooking Keuka Lake and the winery's Historic Vineyards, Eugenia Garden is open to all guests, weather permitting, who have the option to order wine flights, wines by the glass or bottle and special appetizers. No reservations are required, but it is limited to groups with six people or less. Pets are also welcome.

One special flight known as the "Ukrainian Flight" features grape varieties originating from Ukraine. All proceeds from purchases of that specific flight will be donated to the UNICEF Fund benefitting Ukraine.

Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery also received the honor for its "Dr. Frank's Dry Riesling" being rated 91 out of 100 in a very prominent national wine magazine. While President Frederick Frank said the name of the publication cannot be revealed yet, he teased it will be announced once the magazine issue is published.

Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery is located at 9749 Middle Road in Hammondsport, New York. More information about Eugenia's Garden can be found here. A calendar of the winery's events for the rest of the year can be found on its website
