BATH, N.Y. (WENY) - It was a special day for Haverling senior, Meredith Czajkowski as she is set to run track at the Division II level.

Czajkowski signed her National Letter of Intent to run track for Flagler College in Florida.

Czajkowski recently won Section Titles in the 100-meter, 200-meter, and 400-meter runs. She was also a 1,000-point scorer for the Haverling basketball team and was a part of Haverling's girls' soccer program which made it all the way to the state championship game in the fall.

Czajkowski says she plans to major in Marketing and minor in either Public Relations or Communications at Flagler, and she is excited about this next opportunity.

"I feel really fortunate that I can continue to go on and enjoy something and have fun with it," Czajkowski said. "Not a lot of people get that chance, especially somewhere down south far away and especially at the D2 level."

"The campus is really beautiful and it's going to be gorgeous and sunny and warm all the time and I don't have to deal with the cold and the rain and possibly the snow," she added.

Czajkowski also talked about how she'll prepare for the Division II level, and what she looks forward to when she steps on campus.

"This summer I'll do a lot of workouts on the track and in the gym which is something I don't normally do. Just different experiences like making new friendships, living somewhere else, and obviously competing too" she said.
