ELMIRA, NY (WENY)-- The Tompkins County Office for Aging looks for volunteers outside of Ithaca for the Project CARE program which provides visits and telephone calls to older adults. The Tompkins County Office stated they are in need of people who are able to volunteer ranging from one to three hours a week and are willing to volunteer outside of Ithaca and in rural areas. 

"The possibilities for assisting are numerous and the potential for making a difference in someone’s life is enormous. There are many older adults in our community who would welcome any help at all," said Caryn Bullis, deputy director for the Tompkins County Office for Aging, in an official press release.
