ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Downtown Grind announced it will be closing its doors for the last time on February 11th.

The Elmira coffee shop's owner Sara Caldwell confirmed to WENY News that her business has seen two years of decreasing sales, with revenue down by 38 percent since 2021. 

"...at the end of the day, Downtown Grind is a business that isn't profitable," she said. "While we wish more people of Elmira chose to spend their dollars at our place, that's unfortunately not the case."

The coffee shop will be open during usual business hours from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. from Wednesday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday until the businesses closes next month. 

Downtown Grind is located at 109 N Main Street in Elmira.
