(WENY) -- On Saturday, June 1st, the Ithaca Police Department responded to the 100 block of College Avenue around 4:45 p.m., for a report of a recent burglary.

Police said the victims reported multiple valuable items were missing from their apartment which appeared to be ransacked. IPD also said the victims reported they observed a possible suspect standing in their driveway next to a gray minivan, who could be connected to the burglary.

Upon arrival, authorities said there was a person who matched the description of the suspect, who was still near the victim's residence.

After an investigation, IPD arrested 34-year-old Larry W. Stanton Jr. of McLean, NY after stolen property was allegedly found in his possession.

Police searched Stanton's vehicle after obtaining a search warrant, where they said they allegedly found multiple other items that were stolen from the victims.

Stanton was charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny, third-degree possession of stolen property, and fourth-degree grand larceny.

Stanton was arraigned in Ithaca City Court and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail without bail.
