Southern Tier Farmers Markets Return just in Time for the Summer Sunshine
SOUTHERN TIER, N.Y. (WENY) -- Summer 2024 is under 19 days away from welcoming in the season of sunshine and farmers markets in the Southern Tier. Farmers Markets like Tompkins, Chemung, and Steuben Counties are happening across Upstate New York.
In Ithaca, the Tuesday Downtown Market, hosted by the same folks that run the Ithaca Farmers Market at the Steamboat Landing, The midweek outdoor haul at Dewitt Park will offer vendors you know from Saturdays and even some new vendors to consider shopping with. The Downtown Market will open on Tuesday, June 4th, and run through October. Every Tuesday, mark your calendars for 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Over in Chemung County, Elmira's Wisner Market has marked their calendars to reopen on Thursday, June 6th for their 27th year. The market will run every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Shoppers can expect flowers, produce, hot food, arts and crafts, and more. The last day for the Wisner Market season will be on Septmeber 26th.
Lastly in Steuben County, Corning Riverfront Market will start its season also on Thursday, June 6th, and will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Riverfront Park. The market will be open for business every Thursday with the last day being October 31st.
