ALBANY, NY (WENY)--A ROYAL VISIT WEDNESDAY HIGHLIGHTED ECONOMIC AND MANUFACTURING TIES BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES AND THE ROYAL KINGDOM OF THE NETHERLANDS.  

THE GOVERNOR SAID NEW YORK AND THE NETHERLANDS ARE BOTH COMMITTED TO LEADING THE WAY ON SEMI-CONDUCTOR RESEARCH.  

DURING A CEREMONY AT A nanotech CENTER IN ALBANY, KING WILLEM-ALEXANDER said NEW YORK IS A KEY TRADE AND INVESTMENT PARTNER FOR THE NETHERLANDS.  

Wednesday Gov. Kathy Hochul SIGNED A PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE NETHERLANDS AND NEW YORK TO STRENGTHEN COOPERATION OF SEMICONDUCTOR RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION.  

SEMICONDUCTOR’S ARE A PRODUCT THAT CAN BE FOUND IN EVERYDAY LIFE—FROM USING A smart phone TO USING A HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE.  

THE KING SAid THEIR TRADE AND INVESTMENTS WITH THE EMPIRE STATE ACCOUNT FOR 57,000 JOBS.  

“But our relationship is about much more than the economy. We’re also partners in search of the solutions to the great challenges of our time. From climate change to the energy transition to affordable healthcare for all,” he said.
