SOUTHERN TIER, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Southern Tier Library System is hosting a tour designed to get people visiting libraries. Happening from July 1st to September 30th, prizes will be given to those who hit a milestone number of libraries.
The goal is to Visit as many of the 48 Southern Tier Library System locations throughout Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, Yates and Allegany counties as possible. Libraries have maps to track the visits, with official stickers at each stop. Prizes are available at milestone visits to five, ten, twenty-four, and fourty-eight libraries.
“We hope the STARQuest tour will encourage community members across the Southern Tier to visit and become familiar with the region’s libraries and the unique programming and services that each one has to offer. Each of the 48 STLS library locations has something special to offer," said Brian Hildreth, Executive Director of the Southern Tier Library System.
