SOUTHPORT, N.Y. (WENY) -- Plans for a potential new Byrne Dairy on Broadway Street were discussed at the Southport Planning Board meeting on Monday.

The proposal is for a 24/7 gas station on the corner of Broadway.  Byrne Dairy presented the plans and the planning board came back with some suggestions.  Byrne Dairy agreed to only having deliveries between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., and no audio or video on the gas pumps.  The planning board did a SEQR survey, and decided that there is little environmental impact from this project.

The planning board said public comments for this project closed in May.  With the new conditions added, the planning board adopted the resolution to approve the application.  This will still have have to go through the town board to be approved.
