HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WENY) - The NYCBL All-Star Game rosters were announced on Friday as two Horseheads Hitmen and five Hornell Steamers were selected to the West Division team.

Both players selected from the Horseheads Hitmen are locals Matt Procopio and A.J. Brotz.

Procopio, a Horseheads grad, leads the Hitmen with a .400 batting average. He has also recorded 22 hits including 2 home runs and 19 RBI's. Brotz, a Haverling grad, is hitting .353 with 18 hits, 2 home runs, and 11 RBI's.

The Hornell Steamers will send five players to the All-Star Game. They are Jackson Legg, Elijah Nichols, Braden McLin, Brody Langlotz, and Cowan Alfonso.

Legg leads Hornell with a .358 batting average, Nichols leads the team and NYCBL in RBI's with 28, McLin is hitting .329 and is 14 for 15 in stolen base attempts, Langlotz is hitting .321 with 3 home runs, and Alfonso is 1-0 with two saves out of the bullpen. He has allowed just two earned runs over 11 innings.

The NYCBL All-Star Game will be played at Innovative Field in Rochester on Monday, July 8th. Batting practice begins at 1 PM with the game to follow at 3 PM.
