Over $8 million heading to Tompkins County for various bridge repairs

TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. (WENY) -- Four bridges and culverts in Tompkins County have received money in the form of a New York State grant to be rehabilitated, according to State Senator Lea Webb, who represents the county.
The four projects will split a total of $8,027,000 which comes from the BRIDGE NY Initiative.
Tompkins County crews are getting $4,750,000 to replace Falls Rd. bridge over Taughannock Creek. The City of Ithaca has received $1,051,000 to replace the Stone Quarry Rd. culvert. Also announced through the initiative, $896,000 will go to the Town of Ulysses to reline the Maplewood Rd. culvert that runs over a Cayuga Lake tributary. The Village of Dryden is also getting $1,330,000 to replace the Union St. culvert.
The grant money will go to support all phases of each project.
